Divide the absolute difference by the average of the two values, then multiply by 100.

Example

The difference between 70 and 85 is 19.35% of their average.

Formula: absolute difference ÷ average × 100.

|85 − 70| ÷ ((85 + 70) ÷ 2) × 100 = 19.35%
